Emily is a Bay Area native who has been part of the music industry for decades. She has been a key performer in various local bands and has a college education in music (and cosmetology- but she doesn't use that one much). Emily has a strong hold on theory, musicianship, performance, composition, and production. She has a passion for songwriting, production, and teaching music lessons.

Emily has been teaching music lessons for 18 years, focusing on a learning environment that encourages students to thrive in a no pressure setting. Her teaching style revolves around songs that students enjoy while creating a strong foundation in music theory. Each student has different goals and with that said, no student has the same lesson plan in order to promote various learning styles and musical interests.

While teaching is a key part of Emily's legacy, she has been producing her own music ever since she started playing with GarageBand in high school. Diving further into production, learning various DAWs, and self producing her own songs in recent years, she has found an energy that she has dedicated to her own musical creations. 

 

Emily Ellen creates atmospheric, low-fi pop that blends conversational vocals, rhythmic flow, and uplifting production into music that feels healing, nostalgic, and emotionally grounding.
